Why does China support Jaish e Mahammed?
China blocked a proposal by the
United States to designate Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar a global
terrorist, according to media reports. The US move at the United Nations
Security Council was backed by the United Kingdom and France in an apparent
show of support for India. India accuses JeM and Azhar of masterminding several
terrorist attacks on Indian soil.
Masood Azhar is an Islamic
terrorist and founder of jaish-e-Mohamad. He was architect of 2001 parliament
attack, 2016 Pathankot strike, 2016 URI attack and most recent Pulwama attack.
But despite of his long reign of terror he has managed to evade global
crackdown, all because of communist party of China and Pakistan. Let’s find out
why China is blocking UN to take move on Masood Azahr
Chinese spokesperson Lu
Kang in ministry of foreign affairs said “On this issue, I want to say that
China always adopts a responsible attitude, engage in consultation with various
parties properly deal with this issue. The discussions, I want to say must
follow the rules and procedures and relevant bodies and only the solution that
is acceptable to all sides is conducive for resolving the issue,”
While China
is clearly supporting Pakistan, on this matter, Indian former external affair minister
Sushma Swaraj dared Imran Khan to stand to his big talks, and work towards
world peace by arresting Masood Azhar.
Currently
China is eradicating Islam in Xinjiang, and are afraid of armed rebellion from
Pakistan. To eliminate any possibility of terrorist attacks in China they have
to support Masood Azhar. They have pact with many Islamic terror groups such
as JeM, LetT and Taliban to not to rebel against eradication of Islam in Xinjiang. Islamic terrorists will continue
to attack Kashmir, Afghanistan, Iran. But will not rebel against eradication of
Islam in Xinjiang.
Beijing also
cannot afford terrorist attacks on its belt and road CPEC in POK, which
would be trouble for Chinese economy. China is indirectly encouraging Pakistan
to continue its state patronage of cross-border terrorism. At the same time,
Beijing is supporting Pakistan's policy of fighting anti-state militants,
especially those groups that could pose a threat to CPEC.
Pakistan
imports weapons mostly from China, which helps Chinese economic growth. Upsetting
Pakistan and going against terrorists might affect Chinese economy negatively. Also,
more terrorist activities ensure more weapon demand in Pakistan and is very useful
against their common enemy i.e. India.
